About

The Economic and Environmental Forum is the main annual event in the OSCE's second dimension. In 2013, under the Ukrainian OSCE Chairmanship, the 21st Economic and Environmental Forum will focus on "Increasing stability and security: Improving the environmental footprint of energy-related activities in the OSCE region".

The Forum process is meant to stimulate deeper political dialogue among the OSCE's 57 OSCE participating States. This year, the Forum will aim to renew and deepen the OSCE’s political commitments and engagement in promoting environmentally sustainable energy management.

Representatives of national and international institutions, NGOs, academia and the business community will join their efforts throughout the Forum meetings in order to reinforce the role of the OSCE in the promotion of good governance and its support for the fulfilment of the aforementioned commitments.

In 2013, the first preparatory meeting will take place on 4-5 February 2013 in Vienna, while the second preparatory meeting will be held in Kyiv on 16-17 April 2013.

A concluding meeting, to take place in Prague on 11-13 September 2013, will build on the results of the two preparatory meetings.
