Head of OSCE Office and Yerevan Mayor discuss regulatory system reform

The Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, Ambassador Sergey Kapinos discussed Armenia's regulatory reform with Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan in a meeting on 24 February 2011.
The two discussed current regulations and how a reform could improve the business environment to help attract foreign direct investment. An experienced consultant hired by the OSCE Office also took part in the meeting.
The OSCE Office supports the government's efforts to carry out regulatory reforms to increase accountability and transparency. During the meeting, Kapinos outlined the Office's support, which included an assessment of Armenia's business environment. Karapetyan said regulatory reform was important for Yerevan's business sector.
