Code of Conduct in Arabic
1 March 2013

The Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security is available in Arabic. (OSCE)
An Arabic translation of the OSCE Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security was presented to the Contact Group with the Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation on 1 March 2013. The translation was provided as an in-kind contribution to the OSCE by Germany and Switzerland.
The Code of Conduct, adopted in 1994, is a landmark document in security sector reform and governance of the OSCE. The Code of Conduct governs the role of armed forces in democratic societies. Through the Code, OSCE participating States commit themselves to the democratic control of their armed forces and to other important principles of inter-state behavior.
