Strengthening regional security focus of OSCE Secretary General's participation in Antalya Forum

VIENNA, 20 April 2026 – The OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu participated in the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum this week, joining heads of state and government, foreign ministers, senior officials and experts from around the world to address pressing global challenges. He underscored the importance of further strengthening diplomatic efforts to promote lasting peace and security for all.

"We are at a crucial moment in history, facing major uncertainty, and unprecedented challenges to peace and security. Amid geopolitical turbulence, we need to rediscover cooperative security and diplomacy as fundamental tools to manage tension, reduce risks and slowly rebuild a shattered security architecture," said Secretary General Sinirlioğlu.

He also met with President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, as well as Foreign Ministers Elmedin Konaković of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Andrii Sybiha of Ukraine and with representatives of the United Nations and other international organizations.
