Understanding the role of women in organized crime in South-Eastern Europe — OSCE policy brief

This policy brief builds on the foundation laid by the 2023 OSCE study Understanding the Role of Women in Organized Crime to offer a regional perspective on women’s involvement in organized crime, presenting trends, case studies and insights into their recruitment, participation and exit pathways from organized crime groups. It also sets out recommendations to support policymakers in integrating a gender-sensitive approach into strategies and actions to prevent and counter organized crime, ultimately strengthening the effectiveness and inclusiveness of these efforts.
