OSCE and Interpol discuss deepening co-operation to counter transnational threats

The Director of the OSCE Transnational Threats Department, Alexey Lyzhenkov, met Jean-Michel Louboutin, the Executive Director Police Services of Interpol in Lyon on 26 March 2013 and discussed co-operation between the OSCE and Interpol.
“Enhancing international co-operation is a priority for the OSCE in assisting participating States to defeat transnational threats. The OSCE and Interpol have been working together in various countries and implemented a number of successful projects which make concrete contributions to prevent the movement of terrorists and criminals” he said.
During the visit Lyzhenkov held discussions with Directors and Assistant Directors of Interpol on areas of mutual interest.
