Starosta is a position that has appeared as a result of decentralization reform. The person holding this position represents the interests of the villagers and provides communication between the residents of the relevant district and local authorities. Starostas were provided with a number of powers allowing them to solve urgent problems of villagers. The tasks of the starostas are constantly being expanded and updated. To help the newly appointed starostas to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine will conduct a series of online trainings on a wide range of issues, such as legal status and responsibilities, staff issues, and provision of administrative services and notarial acts.
In order to participate in the trainings, you need to fill in the registration form. In the form, the applicants can also choose topics and find the time and dates of the trainings. Registration for each training closes two days before the event. Planned duration of each training is 3-4 hours. Participation is free of charge.
