Starosta is a position that has appeared as a result of decentralization reform. The person holding this position represents the interests of the villagers, provides communication between the residents of the Starostinsky district and local authorities. Starostas were provided with a number of powers allowing them to solve urgent problems of villagers. The tasks of the starostas are constantly being expanded and updated. To help the newly appointed starostas to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine will conduct a series of 14 online trainings in August 2021 on a wide range of issues, such as legal status and responsibilities, staff issues, provision of administrative services and notarial acts.
In order to sign up for the training you need to fill in the registration form, where you can choose the topic of interest and find out the date and time of specific class. Registration for each training will be closed 1 day prior to the date of training or if the maximum amount of group participants (max 30) is achieved. The duration of each training varies from 2 to 4 hours. Participation is free.
