OSCE Head of Office in Yerevan visits Parliamentary Assembly

COPENHAGEN, 4 May 2001 - The Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan (Armenia), Ambassador Roy Reeve, will visit the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly International Secretariat, 7-8 May 2001. During the visit, he will have consultations with OSCE PA Secretary General Spencer Oliver and other senior staff.
Whilst in Copenhagen, Ambassador Reeve will speak at a joint OSCE Parliamentary Assembly/Danish Institute of International Affairs (DUPI) roundtable discussion at the DUPI Office in Copenhagen. Ambassador Reeve will give a presentation on the role of OSCE Field Missions in general and of his Office in Armenia in particular.
As a member of the United Kingdom Diplomatic Service Ambassador Reeve participated in the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE, now OSCE) Preparatory Talks in Dippoli and participated throughout the Geneva negotiations, which culminated in the signature of the Helsinki Final Act in 1975. Other positions included Head of Political Affairs in Northern Ireland (1983-85); Deputy Consul General, Johannesburg (1985-1988); Head of Commercial Management Department, FCO (1988-1991); Consul General, Sydney (1991-95) and Ambassador to Ukraine (1995-1999). Ambassador Reeve was appointed Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan in September 1999.
