Parliamentary Assembly President Helle Degn to visit Moscow

COPENHAGEN, 29 May 2000- On 30 May 2000, Mrs. Helle Degn, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, will meet Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov in Moscow.
During her two-day visit Mrs. Degn will also have talks with the Chairman of the State Duma and Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Mr. Gennady Seleznev, and the Chairman of the Council of Federation, Mr. Yegor Stroyev.
In Moscow, Mrs. Degn, who represents more than 300 parliamentarians from 54 OSCE participating States, will discuss recent OSCE developments, in particular in view of the upcoming OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Annual Session which will be held this July in Bucharest. President Degn will also discuss the recommendations in the Final Report of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) on the Russian Presidential Elections of March 2000.
