On 23–24 July 2025, three specially equipped support spaces will open in Ternopil region to provide psycho-social support to children affected by the war and their parents in various communities across the region.
The project is implemented by the National Social Service of Ukraine with the support of the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine, in cooperation with local authorities and the Ternopil Regional Military Administration.
The "Tvii" spaces are specially equipped rooms for individual and group work with children. Each space has a psychologist and a social worker who have received specialized training and will continue to receive supervisory support.
The support is provided with consideration for the child’s age (from preschoolers to teenagers), emotional state, and family needs. Parents and guardians can also receive individual consultations, along with legal and informational support.
The spaces operate on the premises of community-owned institutions. The OSCE provides technical and methodological support during the initial months, after which the full management of the space is handed over to the community.
Ternopil region is the third region where the "Tvii" spaces are being established. The initiative started in April 2025. During the year, similar spaces are planned to open in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, and Zakarpattia regions.
