About

The meeting in Athens was the second Meeting of Experts on peaceful settlement of disputes (PSD). Only a short report was issued after this meeting.

The meetings on PSD led to the adoption of the Convention on PSD in Stockholm (1992), and to the creation of the Court of Conciliation and Arbitration (1995).

The first Meeting of Experts on the peaceful settlement of disputes took place in Montreux, Switzerland, in the winter of 1978, according to the provisions of the the Helsinki Final act and of the Belgrade Follow-up Meeting.

In January 1991, a third Meeting of Experts on the PSD took place in La Valletta.

The last meeting in this series took place in Geneva in 1992 and prepared the draft declaration for the Stockholm Ministerial Council and the Convention on the Court for Conciliation and Arbitration.
