OSCE-supported New-Med discussion on Redefining Cultural Dialogue in Time of Crisis: Mediterranean Perspective held in Rome
On the occasion of the Anna Lindh Foundation Advisory Council, the New-Med, an OSCE-supported network of Mediterranean experts, in co-operation with Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a seminar on the topic of Redefining Cultural Dialogue in Time of Crisis: a Mediterranean Perspective, on 8 September 2016 in Rome.
The meeting saw the participation of several researchers of the New-Med network as well as high level speakers including the Anna Lindh Foundation President Elizabeth Guigou and Italy’s Deputy Foreign Minister Enzo Amendola.
The seminar is part of collaboration between the OSCE and the Anna Lindh Foundation on reviving intercultural dialogue as a contribution to co-operation and security in the Euro-Mediterranean region. It focused on the role of intercultural dialogue in times of crisis, in particular in relation to on-going policy debates on countering violent extremism.
