Finland – OSCE Chairpersonship 2025

Finland is chairing the OSCE for the second time, after a first tenure in 2008. The Chairpersonship emphasized that Finland is committed to upholding the OSCE’s shared principles, to strengthen the co-operation between participating States and to ensure that the OSCE is well-equipped to respond to crises and security threats.

The overarching theme of the programme is Resilience. It is built on three guiding principles:

  1. Respect the OSCE principles and commitments,
  2. Respond to today’s challenges, and
  3. Prepare the OSCE for the future.
