Modern transformations of national legislation, including the development of a new Criminal Code of Ukraine, are setting new directions for the evolution of criminal law. These changes directly affect both the academic study and practical application of criminal law, creating a need to improve teaching methodologies for future legal professionals.
To support the professional development of criminal law professors at higher education institutions, the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine, in cooperation with the Supreme Court and in partnership with Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, announces the call for participants for the Professional Development School for Criminal Law Professors “Criminal Legislation of Ukraine: Current Challenges and Development Prospects”, which will take place on 8-10 February 2026 in Kyiv.
The event will feature judges of the Supreme Court, leading scholars, experienced lecturers, and members of the Working Group on drafting the new Criminal Code. They will present current concepts in criminal law, share innovative approaches to teaching during wartime, and provide practical advice on improving criminal law teaching methods in view of modern challenges and future development prospects.
To participate in the competitive selection, applicants must complete the application form via Google Forms https://forms.gle/EpAJTLiJJsArmXmX7 by 8 January 2026, 23:59 Kyiv time.
