Fifty-six representatives from South-Eastern European governments and civil society attended the first regional meeting of the Environment and Security Initiative, a joint project of the OSCE, the UN Development Programme and the UN Environment Programme.
Environment and Security Initiative (ENVSEC) is a process through which leading political, development and environment institutions identify and mobilize co-operation around shared environmental concerns as a means for strengthening good governance and reducing tensions between and within countries.
