OSCE Panel of Eminent Persons to brief media on future of Organization on Thursday

VIENNA, 28 June 2005 - The OSCE Panel of Eminent Persons will present its report on the future of the 55-nation Organization to the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna on Thursday, 30 June.
The 32-page report, entitled Common Purpose, makes concrete recommendations on strengthening the effectiveness of the world's largest regional security organization.
The report will be available on the OSCE website from 11:00 CET on Thursday.
Media representatives are invited to the Permanent Council meeting at 11:00 in the Neuer Saal of the Hofburg Congress Centre to hear the opening presentations.
Ambassador Knut Vollebaek, former Norwegian Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairman in 1999, and Ambassador Boris Frlec, Head of the OSCE Task Force in the Slovenian Foreign Ministry, representing this year's Chairmanship, will hold a press conference at 13:00 in Room 201.
For admittance to the Hofburg Congress Centre, please bring your OSCE accreditation badge or a valid press card to the security desk (main entrance from the Heldenplatz). Parking space is available for the press between 9:00 and 14:30 on Thursday, 30 June, in the OSCE-reserved parking area on Heldenplatz. Temporary parking permits must be collected from the security desk.
