Chairperson Dačić welcomes inauguration of working groups under Trilateral Contact Group auspices

BELGRADE, 7 May 2015 - OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić welcomed the successful launching of working groups under the auspices of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG). Yesterday’s TCG meeting in Minsk was convened to inaugurate the activities of the working groups established in line with point 13 of the Package of Measures on the Implementation of Minsk Agreements.

Minister Dačić reiterated that the activities of the working groups were of crucial importance for strengthening the political process, which is essential to overcome the crisis. He welcomed the fact that next steps were agreed by the participants, and stressed the need for a continued constructive approach in the upcoming meetings.

Dačić expressed his full support for the work of the Special Representative in the Trilateral Contact Group, Ambassador Heidi Tagliavini, as well as for the work of the other three OSCE coordinators who coordinated yesterday’s initial meetings of the working groups – Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan, Ambassador Pierre Morel and Thomas Mirow.
