OSCE Office organizes seminar on leadership skills for Armenian students
YEREVAN, 18 July 2005 - Enhancing leadership and communication skills in the areas of democracy, civil society, rule of law, and promoting a healthy lifestyle was the focus of a seminar for Armenian students that ended yesterday in Tsakhkadzor.
The four-day event, organized by the OSCE Office in Yerevan and the United Methodists Committee On Relief in Armenia, brought together 27 university students from underprivileged families living in rural regions of the country.
"This project is in line with the OSCE's priorities in Armenia, which include developing democratic institutions, strengthening civil society and promoting OSCE standards and principles," said Blanka Hancilova, Democratization Officer at the OSCE Office in Yerevan.
"The students will be able to apply their new skills to their future studies and careers".
The Office plans to hold another similar seminar later in the year.
