This international conference aims to stimulate public discussion and dialogue among the expert community, non-governmental activists and state authorities on ways to enhance the practical involvement of civil society in democratic governance. Special attention will be paid to the implementation and application of the recently adopted Law of Ukraine on Public Associations and other instruments, forming the legal framework of registration and functioning of civil society organisations. International experience and best practices in relations of the state and non-governmental sector will also be presented and discussed.
This event will be conducted as part of a project on the further development of the capacity of governmental bodies and civil society organizations in Ukraine in implementing the Law on Public Associations, implemented by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine in partnership with Ukraine’s State Registration Service and in co-ordination with the Ministry of Justice and the country’s Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights.
