This series of six one-day methodological seminars (two in each of the three host cities) for judges from local and appellate courts and advocates will cover the following issues: implementation of the OSCE commitments in judicial practice; the need to align national court decisions with the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) case law; the application of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in civil and criminal cases; the use of ECtHR case law to effectively protect the rights and interests of trial parties.

The seminars will take place in Lviv (12-13 July 2013), Mykolaiv (30-31 August 2013) and Feodosiya (4-5 October 2013).

The seminars are being organized as part of an OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine project aimed at fostering rule of law and human rights in Ukraine’s legislative practice.
