Slovakia
Slovakia is one of the two successor states of Czechoslovakia, an original signatory of the Helsinki Final Act 1975. Slovakia became independent in 1993 and joined the OSCE in the same year. The country chaired the Organization in 2019. Slovakia is represented by a Permanent Mission to the OSCE in Vienna.

Every year, the political leadership of the OSCE rotates among the Organization's participating States. The country taking over the OSCE Chair co-ordinates activities and provides political direction throughout that year.
