The Netherlands
The Netherlands is one of the original signatories of the 1975 Helsinki Final Act, participated in the 1973 CSCE negotiations, and has played a central role in shaping the Organization’s institutional efforts by hosting the High Commissioner on National Minorities. The country also chaired the Organization in 2003. The Netherlands is represented by a Permanent Representation to the OSCE in Vienna.

Every year, the political leadership of the OSCE rotates among the Organization's participating States. The country taking over the OSCE Chair co-ordinates activities and provides political direction throughout that year.
