The OSCE is the world’s largest regional security organization. As a forum for political dialogue on a wide range of security issues and a platform for joint action, the organization works to safeguard stability, peace and democracy for individuals and communities. The OSCE encourages trust and cooperation among member states to foster effective action on conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation. The OSCE addresses a wide variety of issues, including arms control, terrorism, good governance, energy security, human trafficking, democratization, media freedom and national minorities.
The Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS) showcases eminent practitioners in international affairs and is the centerpiece of the Institute’s high-level engagement with practitioners and academics in the city and wider region.
