The high-level meeting will honour the 20th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security and discuss key challenges in the implementation of the resolution, with special focus on the importance of women’s full, equal and meaningful participation in conflict resolution, mediation and decision-making.
Speakers will include Agron Tare, Albanian Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs; Johanna Sumuvuori, State Secretary of Political Affairs of Finland; Robert Rydberg, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden; and guest speaker Rosmary A. DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations.
