About
31 October 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the landmark UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security (WPS). This milestone occurs in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic and in the face of persistent and complex tensions in the OSCE area and a rising backlash against gender equality and women’s rights.
The OSCE and UN Women decided to join forces and bring together a wide range of WPS practitioners from civil society and women’s organizations. The purpose is to complement high-level events by focusing on real experience with implementing the WPS.
