The Russian translation of the OSCE Guidebook on Intelligence-Led Policing was published in Vienna on 17 November 2017.

This guidebook presents intelligence-led policing (ILP) as a modern and proactive law enforcement model, and a realistic alternative to traditionally reactive forms of policing for OSCE participating States. It presents a common understanding of the terminology related to criminal intelligence, which aims to enhance trust, co-operation and sharing of information between agencies and countries.

ILP, which has already been adopted in a number of countries in recent years with promising results, combines intelligence gathering, evaluation and analysis with informed decision-making procedures and mechanisms, thus providing more efficient and effective management of national law enforcement services.

The original English version was published in July 2017 and the Albanian, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and Macedonian versions in September 2017.
