Project description

The objective of this project is to enhance Ukraine’s national- and local- level psychological support and social protection services provided to children affected by war.

The project’s direct beneficiaries are the National Social Service of Ukraine (NSS) and its regional offices, social protection departments within oblast (regional) state administration, and social centers at the level of territorial communities, established as a result of decentralization reform in Ukraine.

The project aims to produce the following results:
•    NSS and its regional departments have enhanced tools and capacities to co-ordinate, support, and monitor the provision of social services to children affected by war;
•    Social service providers and psychologists at the level of territorial communities have the capacity to provide social and psychological assistance to children affected by war, taking into account the specific special needs of boys and girls;
•    Social centers in twelve regions have enhanced capacity and are better equipped to provide assistance to children affected by war.
