How to Effectively Plan and Conduct Dialogue. Series of Trainings

The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine supports the development of a Ukrainian community of dialogue practitioners and offers an opportunity to participate in an in-person training "How to Effectively Plan and Conduct Dialogue". Motivated candidates from local government, self-government bodies or civil society organizations are invited to apply for the following trainings:
- 23 – 25 October 2019 in Kramatorsk (application deadline: 8 October 2019)
- 30 October – 1 November 2019 in Severodonetsk (application deadline: 13 October 2019)
- 13 – 15 November 2019 in Mykolaiv (application deadline: 24 October 2019)
- 20 – 22 November 2019 in Kherson (application deadline: 31 October 2019)
- 27 – 29 November 2019 in Odesa (application deadline: 7 November 2019)
The training will provide:
- practical skills of managing conflict situations;
- communication techniques for the establishment of mutual understanding;
- skills to plan and conduct a dialogue.
The training participants will obtain certificates in case they have achieved at least 90% attendance of the training.
Selection criteria
The selection process seeks to involve representatives from various backgrounds who:
- work in local government, self-government bodies or civil society organizations;
- hold a certificate from the online course “How to Effectively Plan and Conduct Dialogue” of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, the applicants who have no certificate from the relevant online course will not be considered during the selection process;
- demonstrate intention to practise the gained knowledge and skills to promote dialogue and a dialogue approach in resolving and preventing conflicts and problems arising in their local communities and in Ukraine as a whole.
The OSCE seeks balanced participation of women and men from different regions of Ukraine, regardless of their religious, ethnic and social background.
Training-related expenses
The participation in trainings is free of charge. The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine reimburses travel expenses as well as provides accommodation and board for the participants over the period of a training.
