The Annual International Forum on the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights (Forum) is a well-known platform for professional discussion of a wide range of important issues related to human rights. Since its first gathering in 2012, the Forum welcomed more than 500 participants, including human rights defenders, academia, advocates, judges, judges of the European Court of Human Rights, lawyers of the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights and other experts in the field of human rights protection.
The latest developments of the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights, the challenges to the human rights protection, the developments of the justice sector reform, the legislative gaps and deficiencies of the national practices are usually presented and vividly discussed in the course of the Forum. The aim of these discussions is to streamline the application of the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights in Ukraine and to improve the delivery of justice and the human rights protection in line with the European Convention on Human Rights.
Organizers: OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine within “Promoting Responsive Professional Judicial Education” project jointly with the CoE project “Support to the implementation of the judicial reform in Ukraine”, Supreme Court , National School of Judges of Ukraine and Law Faculty of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
