The purpose of the workshop is to present and discuss first drafts of national Technical Regulations “On Classification and Labelling of Hazardous Chemicals” and “On Safe and Secure Management of Chemical Products”, their alignment with respective EU Regulations (EC 1272/2008 – the CLP and EC No 1907/2006 – the REACH), and their benefits for Ukraine.
The regulations are being developed by OSCE experts within the project “Improving Ukraine’s Regulatory System on Chemical Safety and Security” to reduce potential risks posed by the hazardous chemical substances to health of workers, consumers and the environment, as well as to prevent unauthorized access to toxic substances.
Engagement of stakeholders into the active discussion will promote principles of chemical safety and security, advance the best practices and account for interests of the involved parties, including government agencies, chemical industry representatives, scientific institutions, civil society and international organizations.
Participation in the event is only upon confirmed prior registration (please see the attached Agenda for more details).
