The one-day conference will discuss and exchange good practices on ensuring access of people to justice with due regard to ongoing judicial reform, as well as crisis-related challenges. It will provide participants with insights of procedural side of the reform, ways to ensure coherence of judicial practice and application of criminal law. The event, taking place in the eastern Ukraine, will make a special focus on peculiarities of functioning of legal system in conditions of newly adopted Ukrainian legislation introducing new regime of functioning of military and law enforcement entities in the area.

Key purpose of such forums – continuously organized be the OSCE Project Co-ordinator –  is to maintain an open discussion platform for effective expert communication between stakeholders involved in the judicial reform including authorities, local judges, prosecutors, attorneys, police and legal professionals.
