OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine supports survey on anti-corruption reform in Ukraine

The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine jointly with the project Support to Anti-Corruption Champion Institutions (SACCI) funded by USAID, conducted dialogue focus groups on anti-corruption reform in 10 regions across Ukraine in 2017. The results of these dialogues were assembled in publication of survey on perceptions of the success of the anti-corruption reform presented at an event held on 13 March 2018 in Kyiv.
The findings reflect the opinions of local civil society organizations on the implementation of anti-corruption reform at the local and regional levels.
“We believe that an enabling environment for open discussion and full participation of civil society in developing anti-corruption policy and monitoring must be ensured at all levels,” said the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, Vaidotas Verba.
The event was followed by discussion on the findings among experts involved in combating corruption across Ukraine. The experts underlined the high quality of information provided by the OSCE PCU and SACCI project, which lays the groundwork for developing recommendations on how to provide tailored support to local anti-corruption initiatives.
