OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President to visit Norway

COPENHAGEN, 25 January 2002 - The President of the OSCE's Parliamentary Assembly, Adrian Severin MP (Romania), will pay an official visit to Norway on 28 and 29 January. He follows an invitation by the President of the Norwegian Parliament. The purpose of the visit is to discuss recent developments in the OSCE area and to meet the new Norwegian Delegation to the OSCE PA following the recent parliamentary elections in Norway.
On 28 January, Mr. Severin will have meetings with the President of the Norwegian Parliament (Storting), Jorgen Kosmo, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jan Petersen, as well as with the Norwegian Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, including the Head of Delegation, Bjorn Heraes. Mr. Severin will also have a short meeting with the President of the Nordic Council, Outi Ojala.
On the 29 January, Mr. Severin will have an audience with His Majesty the King of Norway and a meeting with the Prime Minister, Kjell Magne Bondevik.
