To equip future legal professionals with knowledge and instruments to effectively protect human rights and apply international law in times of war and after the end of hostilities, the Ukrainian Catholic University in cooperation with the Supreme Court, the International Organization for Migration Mission in Ukraine, the Council of Europe, and the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine issue a call for application for students, postgraduates from Ukrainian universities and young lawyers wishing to participate in the 3rd International Law Summer School in Lviv.
The lectures will be delivered by prominent Ukrainian and international legal experts in international law, human rights, and transitional justice. Among them are experts from the European Court of Human Rights, international organizations, prominent local and international scholars, and legal practitioners.
Participants will be selected on a competitive basis among students of law faculties or international relations faculties who have already completed an introductory course in international law within their educational programs, as well as postgraduate students of legal specialities. Fluency in English is also an essential requirement.
To participate in the competitive selection of participants of the Summer School, you must fill in an application form and indicate your motivation.
The deadline for applications for the Summer School is Friday, 8 August 2025, until 23:59 Kyiv time.
Please note that the selection of Summer School students will ensure geographic and gender diversity and guarantee, as far as possible, the participation of students representing institutions of higher legal education located in temporarily occupied territories or in the regions most affected by hostilities. All travel, accommodation, and food expenses of the selected participants of the Summer School will be covered by the organizers.
