DUBROVNIK, 28 June 2026 – OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu participated in the Dubrovnik Forum 2026, which brought together political leaders, policymakers, diplomats, experts and representatives of international organizations, under the theme “The Age of Multipolarity: Many Directions. One Future.”
As part of the Forum, the Secretary General took part in the high-level panel discussion, “The Age of Multipolarity: Navigating New Realities”, alongside Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Antonio Tajani, and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset.
In his remarks, Secretary General Sinirlioğlu emphasized the importance of revitalizing multilateralism at a time of growing geopolitical competition, fragmentation and instability. He highlighted the need to preserve and strengthen multilateral institutions that provide platforms for dialogue, co-operation and peaceful resolution of disputes.
On the margins of the Forum, Secretary General Sinirlioğlu held a series of bilateral meetings, including with Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili; Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha; and Indonesia’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Anis Matta.
Throughout his engagements, the Secretary General reiterated that, in an increasingly polarized environment, maintaining channels for dialogue and diplomacy remains essential, especially for bringing an end to the wars in Ukraine and in the Middle East through negotiated settlement.
The Dubrovnik Forum, launched in 2006, serves as a platform for strategic dialogue and the exchange of views on global political, economic and security developments.
