About

The following activities have been carried out within the framework of the project:

  1. A diversion centre has been established, as a pre-trial option to ensure that children are dealt with outside the formal criminal justice system, according to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child;
  2. A juvenile legal clinic has been set up, helping to address the needs of juveniles in conflict with the law for professional legal aid services; and
  3. Development of the juvenile justice and Convention on the Rights of the Child curriculum for the Police Academy.
