Part of a series of economic dimension seminars, it was designed to promote an economic and legal framework and to mobilize international action in transboundary environmental issues.
The seminar included sessions on international and regional co-operation, and conflict prevention and dispute management. Another session focused on public opinion and the economic and legal framework for promoting sustainable environmental development in the Aral Sea region.
