The OSCE Permanent Council admitted the country into the Organization as a full participating State, with the decision coming into effect two days later.
The country had had observer status in the OSCE since April 1993 and has had a CSCE/OSCE Mission on its territory since 1992. The CSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje started its work with a fact-finding visit in September 1992.
