The two-day workshop "the OSCE and Political Islam: the Case of Central Asia" called attention to the need for increased dialogue and OSCE involvement to avoid conflict in Central Asia.
The workshop focused on the Central Asian region, a meeting point of different cultures, religions and movements, to discuss the issue of political Islam, analyze important questions and discuss the concerns and recommendations of OSCE participating States.
