About
The OSCE Economic and Environmental Dimension Implementation Meeting (OSCE)
The EEDIM is held once a year in Vienna, to review the implementation of Ministerial Council decisions. It provides a framework for enhancing dialogue and co-operation on key thematic areas within the Dimension.
From 09.00 to 10.00, the Opening Session will take stock of the implementation of the OSCE commitments in the field of women’s participation in the economic sphere.
The Opening Session will be streamed live, via www.osce.org/live.
The session, will be moderated by Ambassador Adam Hałaciński, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the OSCE, Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council, and addressed by:
- H.E. Helga Maria Schmid, OSCE Secretary General
- H.E. Mr. Thomas Blomqvist, Minister for Nordic Cooperation and Equality, Finland
- Ms. Liliana Palihovici, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Gender
- Ms. Maria Ionova, Member of the Parliament and Vice-President of the Ukrainian Women’s Congress, Ukraine
Together with the Economic and Environmental Forum, the EEDIM ensures the continuity of the OSCE approach in the second dimension. The meeting offers an opportunity to assess the implementation of economic and environmental commitments and to gather ideas for future activities.
