OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President to visit Azerbaijan

COPENHAGEN, 26 May 2000- On 31 May to 2 June 2000, Mrs. Helle Degn, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, will visit Azerbaijan. President Degn, who represents more than 300 parliamentarians from 54 OSCE participating States, will meet with the President of Azerbaijan Mr. Heydar Aliyev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Vilayat Guliyev.
During her meetings with parliamentary representatives, Mrs. Degn will have talks with the Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Mr. Murtuz Aleskerov; the Chairman of the Commission on Foreign Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary relations, Mr. Rza Ibadov and the Chairman of the Commission on Legal Policy and State-Building, Mr. Zakir Zeynalov. Mrs. Degn will also have talks with the Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Khanlar Hajiyev. She will also meet with the Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Head of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Caucasus.
