TBILISI, 16 December 2008 - The OSCE Mission to Georgia presented the first two parts of a five-volume series of books on different countries' constitutions today.

The books, published with the support of the NGONGO
non-governmental organization
Lawyers for Rule of Law Union in co-operation with the Georgian Justice Ministry, contain Georgian translations of the constitutions. The series is aimed at legal professionals and law students.

"This is part of the OSCE Mission to Georgia's support for the country's legal reforms to further develop an effective mechanism for the rule of law," said Inkeri Aarnio-Lwoff, the Head of the OSCE Mission's Human Dimension Office.

The publications are part of a Mission project that supports Georgia's legislative reforms through comparative research and analysis of constitutional law of foreign countries.
