VIENNA, 31 May 2017 – OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Austria’s Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz and OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier today condemned the bombing in the Afghan capital. They offered their condolences to the bereaved and wished the wounded a speedy recovery.

“This atrocious attack targeting Afghan and international civilians working for a better future of the country is unacceptable,” said Kurz. “Such barbarian acts, however, will not alter the OSCE’s commitment to supporting Afghanistan and its people.”

Secretary General Zannier said: “I am horrified by the scenes of death and injury in Kabul today, and denounce this attack in the strongest terms. The OSCE will continue to assist Afghanistan, as a Partner for Co-operation, in combating the scourge of terrorism.”
