About
An increasingly uncertain global security context, the rise of Daesh, Russia-NATO tensions and the refugee crisis form the backdrop of the 2016 Security Jam between April 25-28. This global brainstorm is held entirely online and in writing only. It unites thousands of experts on security, human rights and development from government, international organisations, NGOs, academia, business and the media to develop innovative solutions to global security challenges.
The Jam will feed into the EU’s thinking on a new Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy and into NATO’s upcoming Warsaw summit. Your recommendations will be shared with decision-makers and experts around the globe.
The Security Jam lets you exchange directly with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini*, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, Secretary General of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Lamberto Zannier, NATO Supreme Allied Commander General Philip M. Breedlove, 2015 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wided Bouchamaoui, Swedish Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist, Médecins Sans Frontières President Joanne Liu and 40 other leaders. Senior experts will moderate the discussion with thousands of stakeholders in security and defence, development and human rights, and partners from Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America and the Middle East will host breakout sessions.
Join the global online brainstorm from April 25-28 from your office, home, the airport or anywhere else using any device, even your smartphone. Jam for as little as 15mn or the entire 77 hours. Registration takes two minutes and is free of charge.
