OSCE Annual Report 2013

The OSCE Secretary General’s Annual Report gives an overview of the Organization's activities and its co-operation with partner states and other organizations.

In 2013, under the Chairmanship of Ukraine, the OSCE focused on the resolution of protracted conflicts and pushing forward with the Helsinki+40 process towards building a comprehensive, co-operative, equal and indivisible security community.

At the Ministerial Council meeting in Kyiv, the Organization’s participating States agreed to reinforce efforts on the situation of Roma and Sinti; on human trafficking; and on the control of small arms and light weapons.

They also adopted decisions on freedom of thought, conscience, religion or belief; on renewable energy policies and the environment; and on the protection of energy networks from disasters.

The OSCE also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the High Commissioner on National Minorities and the Mission to Moldova, and the 15th anniversary of the Representative on Freedom of the Media

To make it easier for online readers to obtain additional information on OSCE activities, the 2013 Annual Report contains numerous links to external websites, social networks and audio-visual material.
