The consensus on the foundations of European security has gradually eroded in recent years. The current crisis in and around Ukraine has challenged European security and aggravated emerging divisions. The upcoming visit of the Panel of Eminent Persons on European Security to Brussels provides a good opportunity to discuss the situation in Ukraine as well as broader issues of European security.
