OSCE Mission donates legal literature to Georgian Constitutional Court
TBILISI, 2 December 2008 - The OSCE Mission to Georgia donated legal literature to the Constitutional Court of Georgia today as a part of an effort to update the court's library with contemporary publications.
The books cover topics on international and European human rights standards, case laws of the United Nations Human Rights Committee and the European Court of Human Rights, and include publications on constitutional law.
"This contribution will assist in keeping members of the Court and its legal staff in tune with the latest legal practices and international standards in the field," said Inkeri Aarnio-Lwoff, the Head of the OSCE Mission's Human Dimension Office.
The donation was part of the OSCE Mission's Rule of Law Programme which aims to strengthen the capacity of the members of the Constitutional Court of Georgia and its legal staff.
