This meeting will provide a unique opportunity to discuss how to better promote and improve the implementation of the Code of Conduct, including its annual information exchange, and also serve to examine the application of the Code in today’s political and military situation.
High-level keynote speakers and experts include Paul Kiss, Executive Chairman of the Austrian Parliamentary Commission for the Federal Armed Forces, Jānis Karlsbergs, Representative of the Latvian Defence Ministry to NATO and EU, Dr. Alexandre Lambert, Academic Director of the School for International Training Geneva, Ambassador Theodor Winkler, Director of the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces, Mevludin Nuhodzic, President of the Committee for Security and Defence of the Parliament of Montenegro, and Colonel Hans Georg Lüber, Military Adviser at the Swiss Delegation to the OSCE.
The meeting will be chaired by the Latvian Ambassador Gints Apals. Latvia is currently holding the Chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation.
