This three-day seminar aims to promote full implementation of commitments stemming from the OSCE Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security in Eastern European countries and beyond.
The purpose of the seminar is to raise awareness among relevant national authorities about the commitments outlined in the OSCE Code of Conduct. Topics for working sessions will cover, inter alia, the relevance of the Code to the evolving security situation and the Code in the fight against terrorism, as well as democratic oversight of the security sector.
The seminar will provide a unique opportunity for officials to exchange views and identify areas where supplementary efforts are required to promote the implementation of the Code. It will also foster dialogue and co-operation among the ministries and senior military personnel from the region.
